50 Cent is easily one of the most outspoken MC’s hip-hop has ever seen but what good are some words without the visuals? Lucky for us 50 does know how to back up his words. We sat down and compiled 50 Cent’s ten greatest videos from the grimy to the exact opposite of grimy. We covered the whole spectrum and gave you every stage of 50 Cent. Check ‘em out and enjoy.
10. Window Shopper
Sure, 50 hanging around with Mase drinking king-sized fast food was as weird as a three-dollar bill but once Olivia and that white Porsche popped into the picture it was smooth sailing. Plus, you gotta love the Mobb Deep appearance.
9. Wanksta
This is 50’s first video as he was transitioning into super stardom. Besides being a hot video, this officially showed the world 50’s marketing acumen as he showed the world Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo all while wearing G-Unit sweats a year before the brand was even created. And who could forget 50 snatching the Ja-Rule doll from his son? You gotta love it.
8. Ayo Technology feat. Justin Timberlake
In this Ocean’s 11/Double 07 style video 50 keeps it classy, he even got as far as to rock a suit. Throw in the dope theme, the fly chicks, the hot cars, the Justin Timberlake cameo and you have yourself the recipe for a hot video.
7. I’ll Still Kill feat. Akon
Curtis might have technically have been a flop but it produced some hot songs and in this case the video to match. This gritty black and white video showed 50 punching walls, lifting weights, and taking the music back to the block. Hook king Akon rounded out the video with his bangin’ chorus.
6. Your Life’s On The Line
50 with no abs? Yup. In this video we saw a pre workout 50 driving around Queens in a white Corvette. This would be one of many in a series of dis records towards Ja Rule.
5. Hustler’s Ambition
Another minimal video with not a lot of flash to it was this one from 50’s movie. Walking through a boxing gym and alleys, 50 mean mugs at the camera and speaks of the hustle, which is fitting.
4. Piggy Bank
An all cartoon video, this thing was hysterical. Taking shots and showing cartoon versions of everybody from Nas to Fat Joe, 50 goes in hard against his enemies. Jadakiss as a ninja turtle was funny as hell and if you didn’t laugh at the Fat Joe cartoon dancing at the end there’s something wrong with you.
3. Heat
Although not an official video due to the un-cleanable lyrics of the song this video was hot. What could make a better video for "Heat" than 50 and his goon squad throwing some dude in the trunk after beating him down in 50’s backyard?
2. In Da Club
The song that made about 30 million people aware of 50 Cent also had a hot video to go along with it. The Rocky 4, Drago training scene was hot and who could forget the Eminem and Dr.Dre cameos?
1. Many Men
Although it wasn’t it in huge rotation many hip-hop fans consider this to be the best song on Get Rich or Die Tryin’ which is saying a lot. The video was grimy and showed an awful lot for only 4 minutes. It showed 50 getting shot, surviving, coming back, and taking revenge. With lyrics border lining on “shut up before you get in trouble” and Mekhi Phifer pulling a Michael Corleone style hit this video was straight bangin’ and probably 50’s best.
